6-7 Shakur Juiston

Per Verbal Commits Niagara has offered 6-7 Shakur Juiston a JUCO who played last year at Hutchinson Community College. It's unclear if he's eligible to play in 2016-17, but being a JUCO, I don't know why he wouldn't be. The bigger question is why would he be offered if our roster is already full? Be that as it may, I'd love to have him as Hutchinson is a fairly high level JUCO and he seemed to do very well there, and we can really use the front-court help.

One has to wonder why a talented player from a highly regarded JC program would be still available at this very late date . So typical of Casey's recruiting pattern .

To be sure, the questions are endless, but this would be a really nice late-summer pick-up if it comes to pass. Plug Juiston in with guys like Kahlil Dukes, Marvin Prochet, Dom Robb, etal, and Niagara might have a fighting chance.

Maybe the NF Gazette reporter, Mike Meiler, could do some poking around and find out why Juiston is still available in late August?

Would guess this means there was a hiccup in King's scholarship paperwork, but that's just a hunch.

That would actually help Niagara, as Juiston is eligible immediately (I think) and King has to sit a year.

It could also mean somebody else has left the team, or possibly had their scholarship pulled. I still giving the last scholarship to Pow was idiotic.
